Wor-Wic Library is pleased to offer laptop check-out services to Wor-Wic credit students enrolled in a current credit course with a Wor-Wic Community College ID number and student email, and an official government photo ID (e.g., Driver’s License) for in-library use only in Brunkhorst Hall 217 (BH 217) from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday-- please see the library staff desk to borrow.
- Laptops can be checked out for 4 hours, but used only in BH 217 at the designated study carrel and may not be taken out of the library.
- To use the laptop for more than 4 hours, it can be renewed one time if there is no one else waiting to borrow a laptop.
- Only one laptop may be checked out per person at a time and borrowers may not checkout a laptop then loan to another user.
- Laptops are loaned on a first come, first served basis, and may not be reserved or held for individual or group use.
- Laptops are not checked out the last hour the library is open.
- All laptops must be returned no later than 30 minutes before the library closes.
- When returning a laptop, the borrower must go through a 5-minute check-in process to ensure that the laptop is returned in good working order which includes library staff verifying that the power cord and all parts are present; and the laptop will be booted and checked for functionality.
The laptops will only connect to the college’s network. DeepFreeze has been installed on all laptops; therefore, all files will be lost once the computer is rebooted. Please save your files to a flash drive, OneDrive, or email them to yourself before you return the laptop.
All library resource center wireless borrowers must agree to abide by the Wor-Wic Community College Library Laptop Computer Loan Agreement, the Laptop Checkout Policy and the college's Computer Usage Policies.
